GNFCC Honors Outstanding Businesswomen at Phase Events in Alpharetta
Alpharetta, GA – March 19, 2025 – The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC) proudly recognized five exceptional businesswomen for their outstanding contributions to the community and their respective industries at a lunch held today at Phase Events in Alpharetta. “The women in this region are key players at every level of business. It is important to take the time to recognize their work and celebrate their successes as a community,” said GNFCC President and CEO, Kali Boatright.
Businesswoman Legacy Award: Maria Fundora, Casa Nuova and Purple Pansies
Maria Fundora is celebrated for her enduring impact on the community through her leadership at Casa Nuova and her philanthropic efforts with Purple Pansies. Since its inception, Purple Pansies has raised nearly $4 million for pancreatic cancer research. Maria's dedication to service and excellence has left a lasting legacy in North Fulton, providing grants and scholarships to families impacted by pancreatic cancer and supporting critical medical procedures while creating an atmosphere for families and friends to make memories together over Italian cuisine.
Businesswoman of the Year for a Large Business Award: Nicky Rudd, Morgan Stanley and Brewable
Nicky Rudd is recognized for her exceptional leadership and contributions to the financial industry through her role at Morgan Stanley where she endeavors to uplift others around her and provide excellent service to her clients. As president of Brewable, she has demonstrated a commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in North Fulton.
Businesswoman of the Year for a Small Business Award: Heather Demis, Anchor Marketing
Heather Demis is honored for her innovative approaches and success in the marketing industry. Her work with Anchor Marketing has set standards for excellence and creativity, making a significant impact on small businesses in the region and celebrates its 20th year in business this year.
Businesswoman On the Rise Award: Katrina Singletary, City of Roswell
Katrina Singletary is acknowledged for her innovative achievements as a rising leader within the community in her role at the City of Roswell. Her dedication to public service and community development is commendable as her work invests in the long term future of the region, positioning Roswell as a hub for economic development.
Businesswoman Dedicated to Good Award: Christie Simons, Atlanta Angels
Christie Simons is celebrated for her unwavering commitment to making a positive difference through her work with Atlanta Angels. Her efforts to support and create a community around foster children who deserve a place and a family to feel like they belong leaves a profound impact on the community and the future of children in North Fulton.

The GNFCC BOLD Committee is the Chamber’s women’s group focused on empowering the businesswomen of North Fulton to build outstanding networks and spheres of influence, to collaborate and partner with peers and organizations to bolster business, and to celebrate and recognize the BOLD women of this region. The committee works with the Drake House in a mentor-style relationship and puts on four events a year under the GNFCC to further their mission. BOLD stands for Business Women Organizing for Leadership and Development.
